On May 2nd, Red Bull Music Academy hosts an evening of drone and noise at the Knockdown Center in Queens.  The night features performances by sixteen solo artists and duos across three stages, including sets by Stephen O’Malley of Sunn O))),  Prurient, Oren Ambrachi, Pete Swanson, Kid Millions performing with Borbetomagus saxophonist Jim Sauter, and many many more. Bushwick staple Roberta’s will provide wood-fired pizza for purchase throughout the night. Shuttle busses will be provided all night from the Jefferson stop on the L subway line.

I was so thrilled to be able to work on the score for Francesca Gregorini’s beautiful feature film Emanuel and The Truth About Fishes.  I couldn’t be happier that the film received its premiere at this year’s Sundance Festival in the U.S. Dramatic Competition.  Read reviews of Emanuel at the Hollywood Reporter and JoBlo.com.

I’m closing out 2012 with a very special performance in Marfa, TX.  I will perform a live score to the Swedish silent film masterpiece, The Phantom Carriage (1921), directed by Victor Sjöstrom (who later appeared in Ingmar Bergman’s Wild Strawberries).  Ballroom Marfa hosts the screening + performance at the Crowley Theater in Marfa, Texas. Doors at 7 pm; show begins at 7:30 pm.  This is a free event!
