If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then you probably heard that I had my pedalboard and an amp stolen from my vehicle following my performance on WFMU’s Seven Second Delay on August 22nd. I lost the majority of my effects pedals and it was completely devastating. After posting about the theft on my Twitter and Facebook pages, I received an outpouring of support from fans and friends who pitched in by buying my music on Bandcamp and sending paypal donations. NYC cellist Julia Kent donated her Boss DD-5 and DD-20 delay pedals to me. Oklahoma-based pedal company Walrus Audio sent me one of their Mayflower Overdrive pedals free of charge. Australian effects company cubisteffects is crafting a custom oscillating fuzz box for my replacement board. John from The Winston Psmith Project is donating his Boss PS-5. I had never met any of these folks before they reached out to me. Thanks to the generosity of many, I’m happy to say that I’m back on my feet and my replacement pedalboard is proving to be quite impressive. THANK YOU.
Here’s a list of my stolen gear:
Sunn Concert Bass amp head
Ibanez TS9X
Boss ODB-3
Boss TU-3
Morley Little Alligator Volume
Boss DD-6
Boss PS-5
Eventide Space (serial number SP-04986)
Electro-Harmonix Memory Man Deluxe
Boomerang III Phrase Sampler

Those guys at Walrus are awesome. I’ve been following cubisteffects for a while and I’m glad that his heard is as big as ideas. I’m glad that there is a community of people out there willing to support each other even though they’ve never met. Cheers one and all!
I’m sorry to read that. I had a similar tragedy a few years back. Lost everything. Years worth of collected, bought, traded, gifted pedals, my gibson les paul custom deluxe (the sg with 3 humbuckers) a 57 reissue strat and my marshall jubilee 2555, jtm45 and plexi A cab. It took a while to get back the spirit that was inadvertently stolen with my gear. But I’ve slowly accrued a few choice items and am writing and playing again. I’d love to hear your new gear. When in Toronto next?
